Silvia is Senior Managing Associate with Reff & Associates and has been part of the legal team for the last 14 years. She serves clients primarily in Corporate, Commercial and M&A practice.
With more than 20 years of experience, Silvia has been representing clients in various projects of regulatory compliance, corporate and commercial aspects, having a particular focus on areas including privacy and data protection, consumers’ protection and electronic communications.
Silvia has been specializing in privacy and data protection, consumers’ protection and telecom, having served various clients in different industries: banking, pharma, consumer goods, and IT services. She is also certified as CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) issued by IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), acting as trainer of this course within Deloitte Academy for the past 7 years. She is also a trainer with the National Institute for the Training of Lawyers in Bucharest, teaching data protection law (for the past 4 years) and chair of the Data Protection & ePrivacy Task Force within AmCham Romania (for the past 5 years), leading with her expertise and deep understanding data protection framework the community of data protection professionals’ members of AmCham.
Apart from privacy & data protection, Silvia has significant experience in regulatory compliance, consumer protection, intellectual property, and digital law, being involved in projects including retail chains entry on the market, promotional campaigns, communication to clients, use of influencers, protection of intellectual creation or brand image vis-à-vis advertisers or implementation of digital transformation projects.
Silvia is an attorney at law, member of the Bucharest Bar since February 2004.
