The Guidelines on Compliance with Competition Rules

The Competition Council has published, in December 2017, the Guidelines on Compliance with Competition Rules, which includes a set of best practices concerning the implementation of an effective competition compliance program. The guide addresses all type of undertakings, regardless of their field of activity and refers to the practical aspects that companies must consider when deciding to implement a competition law compliance program.

Of utmost importance is the fact that, the existence of an efficient compliance program, effectively implemented, is recognized as mitigating circumstances and leads to a reduction of the base level of the fine with 10%.
